Introduction to Oils
20th - 21st February 2027
Fancy learning something new in 2027? Come and spend two inspiring, creative days discovering the wonderful world of oil painting with professional artist Bryony Knight.
This friendly, hands-on course is suitable for everyone — whether you’ve never picked up an oil paintbrush before or you’re an experienced painter looking to refresh your skills and try something new.
Over the two days, Bryony will guide you through everything you need to know to get started with oil painting, including choosing and using materials and equipment, understanding value and form, exploring colour theory, and learning a simple, tried-and-tested method for creating a successful oil painting.
There will be plenty of time to paint, experiment and enjoy the process, with friendly guidance and encouragement throughout. And best of all, you’ll go home with at least two finished oil paintings of your own, as well as the skills and confidence to continue painting at home.
Everything is included: all painting materials and equipment, plus lunch and refreshments to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
